Acupuncture is a complete system of medicine that treats the whole person. Rather than compartmentalizing the body into separate systems, it recognizes that all systems are interconnected and influence one another. When one system is out of balance, it can affect the function of others. In treatments with Christine, each patient is seen as a whole—physically, emotionally, and energetically. Acupuncture offers a truly holistic approach to healing.

Christine Aziz, LAc, MSOM is a nationally board-certified and state-licensed acupuncturist who brings a compassionate, hands-on approach to healing. She earned her degree from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City and has been deeply committed to helping people find their way out of pain and illness—and back into balance and vitality—ever since.

Christine believes that healing is a partnership. She encourages her patients to take an active role in their treatment, offering tools they can carry into their daily lives to support lasting change. Her work integrates various acupuncture styles, including Traditional Chinese Medicine and Trigger Point Dry Needling, with a specialty in advanced Japanese acupuncture developed by world-renowned teacher Kiiko Matsumoto. Christine has had the unique opportunity to study and practice directly under Kiiko Matsumoto’s supervision for 3 years—an experience that continues to shape her highly attuned, palpation-based approach.

With a focus on women’s health, structural imbalances, stress-related conditions, and internal medicine, Christine often treats yoga and sports-related pain and injuries—gently uncovering the deeper patterns behind discomfort. Her background in dance and yoga infuses her practice with a deep understanding of the body in motion.

Christine’s sessions may draw on a variety of supportive tools—breath work, movement, meditation, and mindfulness philosophy—tailored to each individual’s needs. She sees acupuncture and yoga as beautifully complementary practices, both grounded in awareness, presence, and the body’s innate wisdom.

She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at the highly respected OM Yoga Center in 2005 and has continued studying Thai Yoga Massage, prenatal yoga, anatomy, and teaching methodology ever since. Teaching yoga remains one of her great joys.

On weekends, you’ll often find Christine enjoying life along the Hudson River with her husband, two children, and their beloved dog.
